Happy Retirement, Grandpa

Over twenty years ago my grandfather retired from the US Postal Service.
Now, seventeen years later, he is retiring from the school corporation.

He once told me that a man should never stop working,
unless he is no longer physically able.
I am not sure what his upcoming plans are …
but I'm pretty sure that my children and I can help keep him busy if he runs out of things to do!

As I mentioned in a previous post, last Thursday evening we attended his retirement dinner.
We had a fabulous evening.
My children were, overall, very well behaved
and the meal was exceptional.

A great photo of my wonderful grandparents with my oldest son.
I am so blessed to have them in my life!
I just had to add this one of the Princess ...
I big puffy heart those curls!
(And they're natural too)

Everyone that I met that evening would continuously say
how much they are going to miss working with my grandfather.
He really is a one-of-a-kind-guy.
I don’t think he has ever encountered a person who does not instantly fall in love with him.
Happy Retirement, Grandpa!
Cheers to the next chapter in life!!

What a great post, girl! All those pics are great - especially the one of Maggie-Boo & the one of you. (You look great!) They're all such great pictures though. Looks like you all had a little more space (and less hectic-ness) than we did with Liv's party.

This is a wonderful tribute to your grandfather. I with him all the best in his Golden Years!

What a blessing - to have held a job that you love, retire and now enjoy everything that life has to offer, surrounded by such a beautiful family.

I wish your grandfather much health and happiness for his retirement.

The people I know that have retired don't know how they ever mangaged to fit work into their lives!

I loved the precious family photos Kendra.

Sure looks like all had a great time. Your grandfather will put alot of people to shame, since you get so many lazy people who are work-shy these days.
Again, cute photos of the kids, lucky girl~lovely hair!

How sweet! Kendra, you are sooooo blessed to still have your grandparents. Mine are all gone, as is my Dad. I'm very grateful, though, that my Dad got to see his first great-grandchild before he passed. Uh oh, I'm gonna cry.

That is a sweet post. You're very blessed to still have him in your life.

I love that you like to discuss politics. So many moms these days don't. Come by & visit sometime & we'll chat - we seem to agree on things.
We get to vote in NC this week - finally!
