What a busy weekend....

Saturday night the Superhero celebrated his 8th birthday with his friends playing Laser Tag!
There was so much going on that I failed to take any photos.
BUT
I did manage to get a photo of the cake!

Bedroom Makeover for the Princess
This project remains a work-in-progress

My husband is on labor duty and I am on shopping duty!
Sunday morning I headed out with the older two kids to pick out the perfect shade of pink.
This ended up being much more difficult than I had imagined. There are SO many shades of pink!!The Princess and I picked out what we thought would be just the right color.

Oh.My.Gosh.
It looks like bubble gum is splattered all over the walls!
Each time we enter the room we feel like we are entering a candy store on crack.
Would you like a lollipop?

The most important thing, though, is that my little girl absolutely adores it.
She is in love with the color.
Whenever we have guest over, she immediately directs them to her room to show off the new color.
 She is so proud of it.
I suppose it does fit her personality. It is bold, loud and sassy!!

~~~
Mr. Monkey is experiencing some major ear pain.
Poor little guy has the worst ears.
He had tubes put in both ear canals over a year ago and it appears that we are headed back to the O.R.
He keeps his little finger in his ear and says "it hurs momma, it hurs".
OH.MY.GOSH.
Breaks my heart.
I love the new wall color!! I had pink as a girl, only it was more like a pepto pink rather than a candy store on crack pink. I think it will all come together once you get done. Have a lil faith with the candy store crack pink.
I am not normally a huge fan of pink personally, but honestly, those stripes are fab! I love it, and I can see why she does too! :) Good job, mom.
Oh, can't wait to see the shoes. :)
I cant wait to see a pic of the room all put together! I think it looks adorable!
The pic of the shoe...WOW..thanks for sharing! That is too funny!
Sorry to hear about Mokeys ears :( My son had tubes when he was 9 months, and we have been lucky so far. I had them 3 times when I was a child. I hope he gets to felling better soon!
I think the pink is very girly (and a little candy store-esqe), but I'm glad she loves it!
And, the shoe? Hilarious!
Did you ever get out to shoe shopping for a fabulous pair of shoes?? Can we see it if you did? :) I love new shoes...
Loving that cake! And I've always wondered how people did stripes on walls. I think I might try it next time. Just maybe...
You should be so proud of yourself~ Your lines are perfectly straight (at least they look like the are from the photo), that within itself is HUGE!!! I can see why your princess likes her room ~ it is adorable!
Looking forward to seeing the new shoe post, have fun shopping!!
The birthday cake is adorable! Stripes anywhere can be tricky..but I do like it. Who ever knew there were so MANY colors of PINK.
Sorry about Monkey's ears...I can imagine it is hard to not be able to just kiss it and relieve his pain.
Is that a safety pin? Gurl, you so crazy? LOL Shoe shopping is good! Can't wait to see the new ones (soon).
Okay:
1.) Very cool cake!
2.) Love the stripes in Princess' room. I bet it will look so cool when the room is all put together. I hope you will post a picture of the finished room. Pretty please!
3.) Praying for the monkey and his ears.
4.) Shoe shopping is seriously one of my most favorite things ever. Have fun!
Happy 8th birthday to your Superhero. His cake was awesome.
I think the Princess' room looks fantastic and once all the furnishings are in the room it will look perfect and full of spunk.
I hope your Monkey's ear issues get sorted quickly and that he is feeling better very soon.
Love
Elise
Oh, K~ ! You poor thing!!! It makes me so sad about lil Monkey's ear... just makes me wanna cry! I really hope things get better for him soon...
And the shoe? Priceless! Or was it at Payless? Kidding, kidding. If it makes you feel any better, I actually had a pair of really nice shoes in high school (like I paid WAY too much for them) and they lasted about a month. I was SO mad.
And just for the record, I LOVE the Princess' room! It's adorable! I can't wait to see it in person :o)
I'll talk to you later - hope you have a great day!
Love, Amanda
I think the stripes look great -- and you might find that they "mellow out" a little more when you put the furniture back in the room. But for a little girl -- it's perfect!
The stripes look good in the picture! But I understand about not liking the paint! We painted Allikaye' s room green and I thought hot pink spongepaint on top?! Ah! It looked like some kind of "get high psycho-ness"!! We repainted! Ha!
Still waiting to see the new pair of shoes ;)
