Today I wear classy shoes

Today I have found myself asking “when did I turn into the type of girl that purchases.cheap.shoes?”

Shortly after arriving at work this morning my right high heeled shoe fall apart on me. Leaving me with, not just a minor broken shoe, but a shoe that will no longer get me through the rest of the day. The shoes have a strap that goes across my foot near my toes, that is what broke in half.

Oh it’s classy ladies. Let me tell ya.

I live on the other side of town. So running home to change shoes, change clothes to match new shoes is not an option. There are no stores near me to run into to see if they would have shoes that would compliment my outfit. So that too, is not an option.

**Sigh**

What’s a girl to do?

I tried to be thrifty, but lets get real, I am no thrifty girl.

I tried tape. I tried staples. I tried more tape. Not scotch tape. I’m talking about surgical tape or packing tape. Then I tried a safety pen. And yes that worked.

Yea for the safety pen, right? I just keep telling myself “It’s better than barefoot” but I’m not convinced yet!

Well at least I provided humor for those around me today. Today I’m the girl with sad and pitiful shoes. Oh the humiliation.

But the bright side to all this humiliation is that I am going shoe shopping this weekend for a pair of fabulously expensive new heels!
