Today I have found myself asking “when did I turn into the type of girl that”

Somewhere along the way I traded style for comfort.
I started buying cheap shoes that really aren't very stylish.

Shortly after arriving at work this morning, one of my shoes just fell apart on me.
Like, literally, gave up without a fight.
Leaving me with, not just a minor broken shoe, but a shoe that will no longer get me through the rest of the day.

Ohhhh, it's classy ladies. So classy.

Going home is not an option, as it is too far.
There are no stores near the office.

What’s a girl to do?

I tried to be thrifty, but lets get real, I am no thrifty girl.

I tried tape.
I tried staples.
I tried more tape.
Not scotch tape. I’m talking about surgical tape.
Then I tried a safety pen. And, yes, that worked.

Yea for the safety pen, right?

I just keep telling myself “It’s better than barefoot” but I’m not convinced yet!

Well at least I provided humor for those around me today.
Today I’m the girl with sad and pitiful shoes. Oh the humiliation.

But the bright side to all this humiliation is that I am going shoe shopping this weekend for a pair of fabulously expensive new heels!

Girl, if you are going to get an awesome pair of heels out of the deal, then I say it's worth it, safety pin or not! :)

I hope you get to splurge on some nice ones!

I usually wear tennis shoes to work, so mine are always cheap, too!

At least you can laugh at yourself, and you were creative today!

If you get a nice new pair of heels, you will then have to get a new handbag to go with them. Right??!
Happy shoe shopping Kendra:-D
