Colossians 3:23

Today the family and I ventured out to the Superhero's school for an awards ceremony.
During this annual program, the students are presented with awards and certificates for their accomplishments throughout the school year.

This was a very special ceremony, as the Superhero was being honored with the "Colossians Award".
He had no idea that his teacher had nominated him or that he was being presented with this award.

My husband, grandfather, Princess and Monkey were all there.
We were all anxiously waiting for the Superhero's name to be called.

We waited and waited and waited

 Of course, anxiously waiting turned into restlessness for the little two

The Princess and Monkey started off doing really well.
They were excited to be there and show support for their brother.
They loved when they were able to clap with the audience, especially my Monkey.
BUT, that didn't last long, a whole 10 minuets and then they were bored!

The Princess was “hirsty” and really, really needed a drink.
She needed a drink so desperately that she could no longer remain quiet.

Of course, Mr. Monkey couldn't remain quiet any longer either.
Sitting still seemed to be very challenging for him
He was here, he was there … He wanted up, he wanted down …
It was like I was living out a Dr. Seuss book!
At one point, he tried to rush toward the stage to go see his big brother.
Eventually, he had to be escorted out of the auditorium.

Finally, after putting the fear of God into them,
they settled down and patiently watched the rest of the program.

~~~
The Superhero was presented with a total of three awards/certificates.
(He is the one in the orange stripped shirt.)
He was presented with a metal for being a member of the wrestling team,
a certificate for attaining highest honors, a GPA of 3.75-4.0,
and the Colossians 3:23 award.
We are so incredibly proud of this little guy.
He is such an amazing soul and I am so honored to call him my son.
His daddy took him out this evening for a special surprise… The video game for his Nintendo DS he has been wanting for a very, very long time.
I think it was well deserved!!
What a special (but crazy) event for your little family. You must be very proud. Aren't they always the last to be called? LOL We went to see Lauren's Honor Choir a couple weeks ago and she was the second to last group. Thankfully her older brother is patient. It gets easier the older they get.
